Child Development prepares students for a career working in the community, from Nursery Nurse placements to Paediatric nursing, from education to the Police. 

Students develop knowledge and understanding to advise new parents on prenatal care through pregnancy, from delivery to pre-school and all the milestones along the way. 

Child Development students are fortunate to have the opportunity to look after a Realife simulation baby, providing comprehensive learning solutions that pair curriculum with hands-on learning aids.  Putting theory into practice this baby soon lets the students know if his needs aren’t being met. 
The newly updated specification for 2022 will inspire and equip students with independence and confidence in using skills that are relevant to the childcare sector and more widely in this ever-changing world.
