Glorious GCSE results!
Students at North Bromsgrove High School today celebrate another fantastic set of GCSE results.
Mr. Gibson is so proud of his students and delighted with the brilliant GCSE results achieved. These are our strongest results to date with 82% of students achieving a grade 4 in both English and Maths and 66% achieving grade 5.
These results are further proof of North’s ongoing success in providing an education which enables our students to pursue their highest goals and aspirations as we see the majority of our students go onto our sixth form; our largest cohort to date.
We celebrate the rich success of all our students equally and their achievements should never be underestimated, especially in the light of the challenges posed by the pandemic over the past two years.
It reflects the high expectations we have of our students, the quality teaching in the classroom, the support and leadership of the governing body and, last but certainly not least, the diligent endeavours of our students.
Mrs Ingram, the Deputy Headteacher said, “These results reflect the impact of the positive changes we have made to the curriculum and culture of the school. It is an absolute privilege to celebrate the success of these results with the students who have worked hard to achieve their targets and the magnificent support of the staff and parents. Schools do not succeed in isolation, and any credit is shared equally across our North family.”
Many of our students achieved an outstanding set of results, notably Theo Mugglestone (9 Grade 9s and 1 Grade 8), Sam Taylor (6 Grade 9s and 4 Grade 8s), Anaya Pye (7 Grade 9s, 1 Grade 8, 1 Distinction*), Emily Cook (6 Grade 9s, 3 Grade 8s and a Distinction*) and Maisy Davies (2 Grade 9s and 9 Grade 8s). Many other students achieved more than one prestigious grade 9 across a variety of subjects including Ella Bramston, Lewis Ricketts, Chloe Howdle. Lotte Seager, Luke Gudger, Rebekah Lane, Jacob Kelly and Dylan Crowe.
These results complement our superb Sixth Form A Level results released last week. It is a privilege to work with our talented staff, and it is with a deep sense of commitment that we will continue to nurture the talents and abilities of our students across our North family.
