High School Musical Triumph!
As you know, we believe in and demonstrate our family values here at North; but for the past few months, our motto has been taken over by a new one: We're all in this together!
What a huge amount of joy our school has brought to the students and the wider community. Mrs Needle, our lead teacher for dance and drama, has a history of performance in the West End of London and across regional theatres. Having starred on stage in London when the first High School Musical theatre production was first staged, it's safe to say Mrs Needle not only knows all the songs and dances but all the stage and lighting too!
With such professional connections, our cast has been sent good wishes from all sorts of celebrities from Lisa Stevens (a world-famous choreographer designing shows for Broadway) to Ricky Hinds, an associate choreographer from Come From Away on Broadway, to West End star Dominic Tribuzio and finally, the on the day the show went live, Helen George from Call the Midwife and Strictly fame!
Our sold-out show was premiered to the local community, and we were delighted to welcome our school governors and feeder middle schools St John's and Parkside. Alongside our feeder schools, we also welcomed children from Rigby Hall and Chadsgrove School who were delighted to see the show.
We know that what makes Bromsgrove such a strong community is the people that give up their time to serve and so we were honoured to welcome Mr and Mrs Beaumont as Baliff of the Court Leet; Reverend Ray Khan; Marina Price and Nina Mozolakova from the Basement Project, Barney Kelso, our local Police Officer; Olivia Tomkinson from Primrose Hospice; Nicola Langford from
Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust and our local celebrities from our very own BRMG Radio.
Our school production has brought together a huge number of students for front of house, lighting, stage design and costume, as well as our talented performers.
