Today they celebrated with pizza, surrounded by their teachers, Mrs Wakefield & Mr Hodgkiss, TA Ms Huber, Head of Maths Mr Storey and Deputy Head Mrs Ingram.

We are very proud of their hard work to master an additional qualification on top of their GCSE Maths. From the beginning when it was launched to them, they have been positive and engaged, acknowledging the same knowledge and skills are also needed with their GCSE Foundation qualification, as well as realising the benefit of the qualification for their next steps. 

The Entry Level Certificate in mathematics, offered by Pearson, promotes numeracy skills both with and without the use of a calculator. It also assesses their real-life problem-solving skills such as the broad variety of calculations involved in scenarios such as organising events.

This pizza celebration was just a small acknowledgement of our thanks for their hard work & maturity.
