North supports The Basement Project
Our Year 9 and 10 students are planning a fundraiser to feature live music and dance performances in the school’s atrium and collections will be taken for The Basement Project
The Basement charity’s community fund-raiser Kelly Turner said: “North Bromsgrove has always been very supportive of The Basement Project, and I would like to thank all of the students who are raising money for us this year – every penny will go to helping local young people in crisis.
“Without the support of the local community, we wouldn’t be able to support the vulnerable young people who come to us for help on a daily basis.”
Students have also taken part in The Dame Kelly Home Trust’s ‘On Track to Achieve’ programme with athlete mentor Kelvin Batey and as part of the programme, need to organise a social action project. Miss Travers said: “We are very proud of our students for their efforts to support such a vital local charity. Community links are so important to us as a school.”
