Phobia Excursion
Our Sixth Form Psychologists and Year 13 Health students have been learning about mental health, psychopathology and in particular phobias.
To truly experience how phobias develop and how they can be treated they took part in a seminar at West Midlands Safari Park.
They were guided through the causes of arachnophobia, debunked common myths about spiders and then we’re offered the opportunity to hold a stick insect (chosen because it likes being handled by humans and minis the feel of a spider) and even a ‘fancy rat’.
Huge respect to those who conquered their fears!
