Year 11 Parent Session
We were delighted to welcome parents of year 11 into school for a session focused on revision, careers and sixth form. With our ever-helpful sixth formers on refreshments and a warm welcome, our parents worked their way through each one.
With representatives from both HOW college and Halesowen, it was an opportunity for parents to listen to our in-house careers advisor discuss the different routes post 16. With Mrs Bishop's support, the talk focused on the preferred pathways of A-Levels, apprenticeships, T Levels and college courses. Mr Taylor, our Director of Sixth Form discussed the importance of a strong and consistent grade profile for those wishing to pursue the courses on offer in our sixth form.
Our Maths, English and Science teams talked through the importance of revising for these 100% examination subjects and provided a wealth of ways in which we can all support progress.
Parent evaluation was overwhelmingly positive and showed the wonderful support our families give to their children.
